KAMALA DEVI ROUT MEMORIAL CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2022
Kendrapada 《Nigam Rasmi Dhal》: Bhagabati Sporting Club Ground, Kalaspur On the 1st edition of the Late Smt. Kamala Devi Rout Memorial cricket tournament, Rout Family paid homage to the memories of Kamala Rout who lost her life in January 2022.
The final match was played between B.S.C Kalaspur and M.C.C Balipatna, wherein Balipatna took the trophy home for the first time in the long-running series. The tournament played for 3 days long with rain-affected circumstances.
It was a Vicky Green Tennis Cricket tournament under T-10 model. There were 8 teams from various Panchayats of Kendrapara Districts that participated in the tournament to support the memorial tournament. ThakurSahi, Balipatna, Mangrajpur, Patrapur, Nuapada, Namatara, Kalaspur & Bhuinpur have participated in this tournament.
In Quarterfinal Match Balipatna won against ThakurSahi and enters the semi-final, then Won against Mangrajpur to enter the grand finale. On the other side, Kalaspur won their quarterfinal match against Bhuinpur to enter the semi-final and also won against Namatara to enter the finale. Both teams played well during the entire tournament and especially in that final match, but in the end, Balipatna won the match comfortably by 5 wickets and 9 balls to spare. Final Score Kalaspur 106/10 in 9.3 overs. Balipatna 107/5 in 8.3 overs.
Shubham (Balipatna) was awarded as Man of the Final, Tournament, and best batsman, Where Bibhuti (Kalaspur) was awarded as the best bowler, Dibya (Kalaspur) as the best fielder, and Amlan (Kalaspur) as a game-changing player.
In the prize ceremony entire Rout family cheered up the players and also congratulated them for their gameplay and sportsman spirit. Mr Kangali Charan Rout handed over the champions trophy to the winning team captain whereas Mr. Sudhir Chandra Pradhan handed over the runners-up trophy to the losing side. Along with them Mr. Amulya Behera, Soumya Ranjan Pallai, Tutu Sahu, Kishan Pallai joined in that closing ceremony. With the help of rout brothers in likes of Bijay Rout Ranjan Rout, Ranjit Rout, Amulya Rout, Amiya Rout, Dilip Rout along with them Nigam Rashmi Dhal, Rajendra Das, Subham Pandab & other B.S.C Kalaspur members, the memorial cricket tournament was completed successfully.
